What this policy covers
GraphicTech.mu is a graphics-production education website. This policy explains what data the website handles when you browse, use a tool, contact the editorial team, subscribe, or open the optional AI assistant.
Information you choose to provide
The contact form can collect your name, email address, optional phone number, topic, and message. The newsletter form collects your email address. Do not submit client artwork, production files, passwords, payment data, or confidential job details through these forms.
How the production tools work
The file checker, DPI calculator, bleed visualizer, and media selector run in your browser. The dimensions, checklist answers, and selections you enter are not sent to us by those tools. Printing or copying a result stays under your control.
Optional AI assistant
If you open the AI assistant and acknowledge its notice, your message and recent chat context are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. Do not include personal data, client information, artwork, credentials, quotes, or confidential production details. AI replies can be wrong and should be checked against your printer or equipment documentation.
How we use data
We use contact details to respond to enquiries, newsletter details to manage subscriptions, and aggregated site analytics to understand which pages are useful. We do not use contact or newsletter data for automated decisions, and we do not sell personal information.
Service providers and transfers
Website hosting, database, analytics, Microsoft email and list services, and the optional OpenAI assistant may process data on our behalf. Their systems may operate outside Mauritius. We share only what is needed to provide the requested function or operate the site.
Retention and security
We keep enquiries and subscription records only as long as needed for the stated purpose, operational records, and legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe at any time. Depending on applicable law, you may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal data, or object to certain processing. Contact [email protected] so we can assess and respond to the request.
Production guidance boundary
Articles and tools provide general educational guidance, not a press approval, equipment recommendation, quotation, or warranty. Your print provider, equipment manufacturer, material datasheet, colour proof, and physical test always take priority for a real job.
